I need a new book to read. I've been working on To Kill A Mockingbird and am just finishing up Alice in Wonderland and am looking for a couple new books to read. I just plowed through Harry Potter 7 so I'm thinking I need something with a little bit more substance and more intellectually stimulating... although it was super awesome/fun to read. I'm starting up a book club too so if you have any recommendations for that...feel free to comment.
Tell me about some good books you've just read!

ReplyDeleteahh harry potter! i think i need to re-read them again. i've just finished reading wild swans by jung chang which is an autobiography of herself, her mother and grandmother and it's really interesting to see who the culture in china changes throughout these three generations so yeah, worth a read :)

i'm not much of a reader, the only books i am willing to read are those of Dan Brown's. :)
ReplyDeleteive finished a few good ones, depends what youre into really though.
ReplyDeleteGirl Power by Marisa Meltzer : about feminism through music in the 90s. it was a reletively fast read, but still enjoyable :]
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Johnathan Safran Foer : so amazing. i really really loved this one. you might have already read it though seeing as its pretty popular
Shanghai Girls by Lisa See
(not very substantial young adult series but....) The Hunger Games series. the third one just came out also. fast reads but entertaining, a bit in the way that twilight is only less guilty hah
and lots of comics/graphic novels... Tank Girl, Kieli, Black Butler are some great ones.
hope that helps!
